ABOUT THE OWNER
I am a proud Chilean migrant, a South Australian woman, and a lifelong seeker of quiet, meaningful moments.
The name Alunma comes from Mapudungun, the ancestral language of the Mapuche people of Chile.
Mapuche are the Indigenous people from Chile.
Alünma means: Longevity – "a long time" – From the language Mapudungun.
A word that holds continuity, care, and the hope that what is created with love will endure. This tea shop is my offering: a place shaped by culture, guided by spirit, and built with the intention that it will live on gently, beautifully, and for a long time.
